Vanadzor in brief

Vanadzor is the 3rd greatest city in Armenia, located in Lori region. Although it severely suffered from the strong earthquake back in 1988, it is now a lively city and home to many artists, painters, rock bands, writers. Vanadzor once used to be famous for its extremely hazardous chemical industry, which was poisoning the environment and the air of the city. Luckily or unluckily after the collapse of the Soviet Union and the earthquake, the factory was shut, which eventually left a lot of unemployed people to breath cleaner air. Արին-Բերդ անմատչելի բլրի վրա կառուցված Էրեբունի ամրոցից Երևանին նայելիս միանգամից մոռանում ես, թե քանի աստիճան ես հաղթահարել այստեղ կանգնելու համար: Վերևում օդը դառնում է ավելի մաքուր, լիաթոք շնչում ես ու հասկանում, որ իզուր չէր Արգիշտին հենց այս վայրը ընտրել իր ամրոցի համար: Ամրոցի շուրջ քայլելու ընթացքում մի կողմում տեսնում ես պարիսպներ, մյուս կողմում շարունակում է տարածվել Երևանը:
Հնում ամրոցի մուտքը գտնվել է հարավային մասում, որտեղից աստիճաններով հնարավոր է եղել հասնել ամրոցի հրապարակ: Հրապարակից դեպի արևմուտք գտնվում է կրոնական մասը, որտեղ եղել է Վանի թագավորության գերագույն աստված Խալդիի տաճարը` սյունազարդ դահլիճով և աշտարակաձև շինությունով: Աշտարակաձև շինությունը չի պահպանվել, բայց տասներկու փայտե սյուների վրա հենված դահլիճը կա մինչ օրս: Դահլիճի պատերը զարդարված են տարբեր գույնի գեղեցիկ որմնանկարներով:
Հրապարակից հյուսիս գտնվում են պալատական շինություններն ու սենյակները: Սենյակներից շատերում պահպանվել են որմնանկարներ, նաև մեծ գամերից մնացած անցքեր, որոնք օգտագործում էին գորգեր կախելու համար: Այս հատվածում է գտնվում նաև Արգիշտի Ա արքայի սենյակը, որտեղ առանձնանալն իսկական հաճույք է պատմություն սիրող մարդու համար: Եվ ընդհանրապես, ո՞վ չէր ցանկանա գոնե մեկ անգամ հայտնվել արքայի սենյակում, տեսնել այն պատերը, որոնց հարվածել է արքան զայրույթի պահին, զգալ այն, ինչ զգում էին մարդիկ,  որոնք հրավիրվում էին արքայի սենյակ:
Սյունազարդ բակից կարելի է անցնել սյունազարդ նեղ սրահով, որից հետո մտնում ես շքադահլիճ, որին կից գտնվում են հինգ հաղորդակցվող սենյակներ: Պալատական հատվածի արևմտյան մասում կառուցված է եղել Իվարշա աստծուն նվիրված տաճարը:
Դուրս ես գալիս պալատական հատվածից, իջնում ես ներքև ու նորից նայում ես բացվող տեսարանին: Ու համոզվում ես, որ իզուր չէր Արգիշտին ընտրել հենց այս անառիկ բլուրը:

All Seasons Are Beautiful in Tsaghkadzor!

I am Armenian and have lived most of my life in Armenia. In the course of my life it happened that I paid some visits to Tsaghkadzor. Then it was very lovely because there were dense woods and high mountains. All these together make a very beautiful composition! I try to recall my impressions when I first saw Tsakhkadzor and try to compare them with my impressions now, when I am working in Tsaghkadzor.

I adore Tsaghkadzor! I assumed my job as hotel manager in Tsaghkadzor in summer of 2010, when all the nature was blossoming and was deep green and the sky was deep blue! From the balcony of the hotel I used to enjoy the opening view and breathe the crystal clear mountain air that is very rich with oxygen. It was so beautiful then that I enjoy every single day of my work in Tsaghkadzor.
